Annual Blueberry Weekend

We haven't participated in the camping piece of Blueberry Weekend since Zoe was a baby. We had to pack up and leave in the middle of the night because she had been screaming for hours (later found out she had an ear infection). In recent years, we've avoided it because Mike always seemed to have a gig that weekend and camping solo with the kids never seemed very attractive to me. This year Mike didn't have a gig and the kids REALLY wanted to camp, so we did. Gathering the stuff/packing/preparing to camp took longer than the actual camping!

What to pack for Blueberry Weekend (in no particular order):
beach towels
picking buckets
Zan's life jacket
sunblock
bug spray
pillows
tent
sleeping bags
therm-a-rest pads
coleman stove
container for blueberries
camera
green chairs
flashlights
s'more makings
backpack
cooler
clothes
hiking boots
binoculars
bathing suits
paper plates
utensils
trash bags
paper towels
wipes
clothes pins
line
griddle
spatula
FOOD

After decades of climbing Temple Mountain, this year we tried Gap Mountain in Troy. It was a very wet hike, but well worth it as the blueberries were plentiful!

Mt. Monadnock in the distance.

Sandy always likes to find a place where she can sit and pick.
