HONK!

Opening night is tonight - "Honk, Jr!"  Last night's dress rehearsal was loaded with mistakes, missed cues and missing costume pieces, which some say is good luck.  If you follow that logic, tonight's show should be fabulous!
I've been working backstage all week, trying to make sure the kids have all the parts and pieces to their costumes and that their hats and gloves are on, shirts are tucked in, hair is out of their face, etc.  Most of the kids change costumes several times -  Zoe wears three  different costumes: sheep, fish and a ballerina style costume for the blizzard scene - so it is a bit hectic.  To add to the confusion they also have microphones which they share throughout the show, so someone is always need of "mike" tape or help tucking their "mike" into their costume.
I am constantly amazed that, for the most part, 30+ kids know their lines, songs, dance steps, where they need to be for their entrances, and have their costumes on at the right time for a two hour show!
