On Sunday Zoe participated in her first dressage show, which is much different than the pleasure shows she has done. Dressage is a competitive equestrian sport. The rider and their horse perform a specific, memorized series of moves that much be completed by a certain time once the bell rings. The judging is very specific and detailed. Riders receive a score sheet and written comments from the judge, allowing them to work on specifics for next time. Overall, it was a great success. Kittery was very focused, responsive and well-behaved....Zoe was too!
