Fall Update

Fall Highlights:

• Zoe suffered a head injury in her second soccer game of the season, which turned out to be a concussion.  She essentially missed the whole season, but did get to play in the end of the season tournament.  She was a trooper - attending all the teams' practices and games, despite the fact that she couldn't play.  Due to the concussion, she couldn't ride either, although we did visit the barn weekly.  She is happy to be back on Kittery!

• Just before the hockey season started, Zan was invited to join a travel hockey team.  We had planned on avoiding travel hockey for one more year, but this team has been a good fit for Zan.  In an attempt to put a positive spin on the cost of gas and mileage on the car, we are having fun seeing parts of our state that we've never been to!

• Zoe's concussion wasn't the only fall injury.  Zan hurt his wrist during a hockey game early in the season.  Fortunately it was only sprained, but he did get a cool x-ray of his arm!

• This year's Halloween costumes were easy to put together!  Zan dressed as a ninja, wearing black clothes that he already had, a quickly sewn together black hood and a sword from the dollar store.  Zoe, her friend Emma, and Emma's sister Erin raided Zan's hockey stash and dressed as hockey players.  Anna (Dorothy) joined them too!
