Riding at Windswept Farm

Zoe began taking riding lessons at Windswept Farm last fall.  She rode JB (Mr. Jitterbug), an easy-going thirty-something horse for her first few lessons.  One of the first things she learned how to do was control/steer JB.  She walked around the ring, guiding him to the letters posted around the ring.  She had to steer him to the right letter, stop him and then touch the letter before moving on.  Sometimes Sue (her instructor) had her spell words with the letters.

Zoe rode through the winter, despite frigid temperature, bundled up in long underwear and wool socks.  She fell off a few times when the horse she was riding got spooked, due to sliding snow on the roof.  She took the month of April off and is now "back in the saddle!"
