Zoe, hanging like a bat, on a field trip.
She wrote this poem about bats one afternoon at home:
BATS
Swooping, soaring everywhere,
flapping around in their lair.
Fruit Bats' wings are six feet wide,
that's SO long I could hide inside!
The Fish Bat will eat
some tasty fish meat.
That fish will make an awesome dish!
Here comes the Insect Bat!
It will eat, from bugs to slugs.
As they soar out of their cave door,
they eat mosquitoes.
Wouldn't it be funny if bats ate Cheetos!
The Insect Bat uses echolocation.
When the bat sound hits an object
the sound bounces back to the bat's
ears and makes a vibration.
Bats are amazing!
