Christmas Tree

We finally got our tree up and decorated.  Even though we  tagged it way back in October and picked it up on Saturday...we had to wait for it to "defrost" due to the ice storm.  For Zan, putting up the tree is NOT as exciting as setting up  the Polar Express, which we only do at Christmas time.  He's been playing with it all day, on and off.  Every so often I hear the chug, chug and then the whistle, and eventually I can smell the smoke (don't worrry - the smoke is meant to happen - the train isn't about to  burn out or blow up).  It's all for effect.

You can't see them very well in the photo, but this year we tried decorating the tree with strings of popcorn and cranberries.  Hint:  Use UNBUTTERED popcorn.  Buttered popcorn makes for slippery fingers and needles!

Your tree looks wonderful! We didn't get ours up until yesterday as well. The kids are *so* excited about all the Christmas decorations. I think I have repaired five ornaments over the course of the afternoon today...
