A Glimpse of the Teenage Years...

On Saturday night Zan was invited to attend a minor league baseball game with his friend Ryan to celebrate Ryan's 5th birthday.  Now, Zan is normally bathed and in bed by 7:30 PM at the latest...the game started at 7:00 PM!  When they weren't home at quarter of ten I HAD to call!   Ryan's mom reported that all was well, and that they had made it to the 8th inning before throwing in the towel.  They were on the way back to the van, but they were hoping to catch the fireworks before heading home.  Zan got in at 10:30 PM!  He was wide awake and eager to share everything about his evening.  The strangest part was how we sat up, keeping ourselves awake, until 10:30 (way past MY bedtime) for our five year old!  I couldn't help but imagine what the teenage years are going to be like....
